A monthly sample club, read as a routine

The club sends two generous samples of the newest and most interesting yarns of the season, and the point of that size is exploration: a traditional 5" x 5" blanket square is enough to feel how a yarn behaves on the needles before you commit to a whole skein.

What the package is for

Treat each mailing as a test rather than a delivery. Weights and fibers vary from month to month, and a swatch lets you compare them on your own gauge, with your own hands, over a season instead of in a single sitting.

Notes that pay off later

Write down weight, fiber and needle size for every square, and label the squares themselves. Because the selection changes each month, the record is what lets you return to a yarn you liked; those who prefer keeping such lists on a phone can use an app, and the betpk page explains how to install it. Subscribers who move should send the club a change of mailing address so the next package follows them.

Checking what is still around

Yarns previously featured are sometimes still available at a discounted rate, so the overstock list is worth a look before the next mailing arrives; a short message is enough to ask about anything on it, and comments or suggestions about the club are welcome through the same channel.
